is 5-6pm... 2 moto transfer.
Monday (9-6-10) Registration 4-5pm.

GVBMX'rs
BIG State Championship weekend ahead! Just wanted to give everybody an update on the schedule.
Thursday night (8-19-10) we will have regular racing. Registration 6-6:30pm
Friday we will be having a track work night to get everything ready for the weekend. PLEASE come help. We are planning to meet at the track around 6:30 to clean up and work on the track. Rob has a roller reserved and we could use some help from everybody to get things in tip top shape. Bring your gloves, weed eater and shovels and come help.
If anybody has a wheel barrel that would be helpful too.
Saturday August 21 - Double Points Race
Registration: 5-6 PM
$20.00 Race Fee
Sunday August 22 - State Championship
Registration: 9-10 AM
$35.00 Race Fee
We have some nice metals for Saturday and some really nice trophies for Sunday.
After the SUNDAY State Championship race we will be having a BBQ for all our racers and families.
We plan to provide the burgers, dogs, buns and condiments. Please bring a salad or desert to share.
And last... We will finish off the day with our State Champion Awards ceremony where we will be giving out backpacks and number places to all the State Champions.
Hope to see everybody at the track this weekend.
We need to get 100 riders on Sunday so we can see the Pink Goatee!

We're racing tonight! Track is looking pretty
good after the rain and assuming we don't get any
huge storms moving though we are racing.
Registration time is going to be 5 to 6pm tonight
(NOT 3 to 4). Come early if you want to help pick
up some of the rocks.
Race is on!

This Saturday (Aug 7) is the Sweet Pea Parade.
GVBMX will be riding in it. We are planning to
meet at the high school parking lot (west of the
swim center) around 9am to decorate our bikes and
the small bike trailer, and to pass out candy.
Everybody's bike needs some flowers on it! We
will have some when we meet or you are welcome to
decorate your bike before at home.
Please wear your BMX outfit and a helmet. And
clean those bikes up. Parents are welcome to ride
and help pass out candy too. OR we usually meet
right after the parade back at the high school.

I know everybody is getting excited for the big
races this weekend!
If you have some time tonight (Friday July 30th)
we would love to have your help! We are planning a
park/track cleanup from 6pm to ?? AND Rob (the
man!!) got us a big roller from ABC to smooth out
the track. We definitely need some help moving
around dirt to fill in some holes and fix up that
first big jump. The more hands the easier the
work... So come help! Wheel barrels needed if you
can bring one. Or a 4wheeler with a nice cart??

the 80's!)
ALSO... Special thanks to Meesh and Carol.... and
everybody else who participated... For raising the
needed money for a double point Race for Life next
year. And also for making a HUGE push for trophy
sponsors. GVBMX is a total volunteer organization
and without great people like all of you we would
not have the great park and club that we do!
AND... Don't forget about the Sweet Pea parade
next weekend. GVBMX will be riding in it again.

Hi Everyone! It is not too late to be a trophy sponsor for our State Qualifier, Sunday, August 1. We need sponsors desperately!! The companies name will be on one full set of trophies. Our State Championship is August 22. The company can do one race for $100 or both races for $150. Great advertisement and tax-deductible. We need help. Please let us know by Monday, July 26 to get your name on the State Qualifier trophies. Thanks for your help!

Just want to remind you -- and perhaps let some of you know for the first time -- that athlete pictures are posted and sorted by rider name. No longer do you need to sort through hundreds of pictures to find the ones you are looking for -- just click on your name from an alphabetical list at www.idealphotography.biz . Start by clicking on "view photos online," and then go to the latest BMX event. The latest event will have all the previous pictures also.
